Our story

The Comfort Box Co. Inspired by Love. Shared Through Kindness. Hi! I’m Laura, the heart and hands behind The Comfort Box Co., a small business created from a deeply personal journey of love, loss, compassion, and the desire to make a difference. For the past several years, my life revolved around being a wife, mom, and caregiver. My husband, Joe, was a medically retired Marine who courageously battled numerous health challenges, including cancer. During the final years of his life, I stepped away from my career to care for him while raising our daughter, Haley. In April 2026, we lost Joe after his courageous battle with cancer. While losing him forever changed our lives, the experience also gave me a new perspective on just how meaningful the smallest acts of kindness can be. Throughout our journey, I learned firsthand that when someone is facing an illness, recovering from surgery, caring for a loved one, or simply going through a difficult season, sometimes the simplest gesture can mean the world.
